I have only one quibble with this list:
Over the weekend, I was flipping the channels and happened upon the VH1 version of this list. There were several discrepancies between the two lists; most glaringly, that many of the older bad songs (specifically, the Beatles, Doors, and Simon & Garfunkel tracks) had been exorcised from the VH1 list in favor of newer horrible tunes.
Considering that VH1 and Blender colloborated on this list, why were the two version slightly different? Was it because the older songs, dating fom the pre-video era, would be more difficult to present on a tv show? Or was it because VH1 was leery of insulting Boomer sacred cows such as the Beatles, thereby alienating the Ex-Lax And Dentures crowd?
