Just think, there’s a whole generation of kids reaching adulthood right now, who will never understand why “Stairway To Heaven” is the best “First Side Crescendo Closer” song ever, why “Three Days” is the best “Second Side Opening Slow Build Epic” song ever, and why Side 3 of Electric Ladyland is the best “Wow, We’re Already 40 Minutes Into This, I’m High As A Kite…Let’s Get Really Out There” album side in history.
For that matter, the entire concept of the Double Album will always be lost on these kids.
Pity them.
