Great Zombie Jesus, it looks like the Devil may have finally won down in Georgia. After losing her case at the local and state school board levels, the crazy lady who tried to get Harry Potter taken off school bookshelves on the basis that it “promotes witchcraft” has now lost in court as well. Hopefully the third time is the charm, and this will be the end of the whole stupid episode, right?

Laura Mallory, who argued the popular fiction series is an attempt to indoctrinate children in witchcraft, said she still wants the best-selling books removed and may take her case to federal court.“I maybe need a whole new case from the ground up,’’ Mallory said.
One assumes that a federal judge will toss her out on her ass just as quickly the state Superior Court judge did. But given that the Bush administration has 20 more months in which to seed every level of the federal judiciary with Regent University Law School graduates, who knows? Maybe she’ll luck out and get a judge every bit as batshit loony as she herself is.
In the meantime, the very manly and 110% heterosexual Jesus’ General alerts us to an even worse threat from those who wish to subvert our children and turn them all into gay liberal atheist devil-worshiping Islamocommunofascists. With all the attention being paid to the danger to America posed by the works of J.K. Rowling, why has no one noticed the insidious menace of Dr. Seuss?
