Rock Out, Craphound!
As expected, Friday night’s Captured By Robots show was fantastic. MP and Chris met us for a thoroughly enjoyable evening of drunken debauchery at The Funhouse. (All the other Seattle peeps I invited who couldn’t be bothered to show up, even though it was my birthday and I’m leaving town in three weeks, are a bunch of big fat losers. You know who you are.)
Since this was CBR’s 10th anniversary, JBOT and his animatronic tormentors played songs from several different tours, including the “Ten Commandments” tour, the “Get Fit With Captured By Robots” tour, the “I Was Married By Captured By Robots” tour, and my personal favorite, the “Star Trek” tour.
Alas, MP was the only person who thought to bring a camera, and his batteries died right before the band launched into their best song, “Fuck You Wesley Crusher.” He did, however, take some choice shots throughout the night:
Oddly enough, even though four members of our group were librarians by trade, we still managed to mysteriously miss opening band BlöödHag’s set, due to being outside smoking cigarettes and taking silly pictures unforeseen complications. Oh well, maybe next time…
