In Which Aaron Proclaims His Love For New York Yankee Fans
Dear Yankee Fans,
I’m very, very sorry. I’ve been exulting in your pain ever since your loathsome team was ignominiously bounced from the playoffs on Monday. I took great, malicious, chortling glee in the thought of how unhappy you would all be since your $200 million team went down like the Hindenberg, your smug sense of entitlement punctured like a limp balloon yet again. I reveled in a glorious haze of sweet, sweet schadenfreude.
However, that was before I found out that, during that very same elimination game on Monday, you booed Rudy Giuliani, not once, but twice. (props to Chris for the links)
Yankee fans, I applaud you for your courage in standing up to that vindictive, thuggish douchebag and his entirely fake “9/11 Hero” persona. I embrace you now, in the spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood. I love you all.
At least until spring training begins, at which point I will revert to my normal state of hating all your guts.
