Because I get to purchase books like this for the collection:
I can hardly wait for the day when some cranky old DAR member comes into the library and grabs this off the New Books shelf, mistakenly assuming it’s the latest O’Reilly/Limbaugh/Coulter Right Wing Temper Tantrum. The howls of complaint will be a joy to behold.
More likely, though, she won’t even realize the whole thing is satire, and will assume it’s completely serious. After all, it’s getting pretty difficult to engage in Swiftian satire of American conservatives when nothing you can make up is as crazy as what they already believe.
