Ah yes, it’s a great, great day to be alive. The long battle is over, and successful. The day countless info-warriors hoped and prayed and fought for has indeed come to pass. Break open the bubbly (and a good book) in celebration, because the Library of Congress has finally added “strap-on sex” as a subject heading! Huzzah!
However, even in this moment of victory, we must pause and acknowledge that while this battle may be won, the war continues; as Jessamyn points out, there is still no LOC subject heading for “dildoes.”
